Interested in biosciences and engineering? There is a one-week residential program for high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and incoming college freshman regardless of where they live. The program takes place at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and students will stay in the dorms during the week. Spend the week investigating the pathway from basic science research to tissue engineering and biotech, with hands-on workshops, experiments and tours of cutting edge facilities. What’s a week at SIP like?
You can try your hand at virtual surgery in the Medicine Institute, or talk with ESPN executives about careers in the Sports Marketing Institute. You’ll make powerful closing arguments in moot court in the Law Institute, or take control of a robot you programmed at the Technology Institute. Students will have the opportunity to work with esteemed faculty in the in the chemistry department, mentors, and industry professionals who have taken cutting-edge research and seen it materialize in the real- world in the Biosciences and Engineering Institute.
